Australian Caravan Club (ACC)
The Australian Caravan Club is a relatively new club and was only launched in late 2006.
It was formed as a national organisation to meet the wide variety of interests and needs of caravanners and camper trailer users.
This club represents existing caravan clubs and associations as a single body able to speak up on national issues. They are more of a lobby group formed to work with existing organisations for the benefit of all caravanners and campervan owners. They rely on local clubs doing the running of social events and activities for caravan users.
Based on The U.K. Camping and Caravanning Club system, an organisation with huge benefits for members with a massive membership. See this article for more information.
Unlike state based clubs the The Australian Caravan Club is an Australian Registered Company that reflects a National identity. The club is run by dedicated volunteers. Fifteen state branches have been created so far and they organise social weekends they refer to as Musters.
The Club also publishes a quarterly magazine called The Nomad. Available to members only.
